1. Prep your skin: take a hot shower, bath, or steam for at least 5-10 minutes. Skip soaps and oils — the glove works best on clean, product-free skin.
   
2. Prepare the glove: wet the glove and squeeze out the excess water so it remains slightly damp.
   
3. Exfoliate: step out of the water and use long, gentle strokes to buff away dead skin. Adjust pressure to comfort — mild redness is normal. Avoid sensitive areas, open cuts, active acne, or irritation.
   
4. After: rinse your skin and the glove afterward. Wash the glove with a little soap and let it air-dry.
   
5. Recommended: use 1–2 times per week. Replace every 6-8 months.

To prep your skin before applying fake tan, exfoliate thoroughly 24 hours in advance using our Turkish Silk Exfoliating Glove (for best results) to remove dead skin and old tan.

This helps create a smooth, even base. After exfoliating, moisturize dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles, and hands, and avoid applying any oils or lotions on the rest of the skin right before tanning.

For removing fake tan, we recommend the Turkish Silk Exfoliating Glove (salmon pink) — its fabric is slightly thicker, making it very effective.

If you have sensitive skin, the Raw Silk Exfoliating Glove (white) works well too. You may just need to apply a bit more pressure and spend a little longer to achieve the same results.

Skin peeling depends on skin type and visible peeling results are not guaranteed. Your skin will be exfoliated regardless of whether visible peeling occurs. Dry skin tends to peel more than oily skin.

Ensure your skin has soaked for at least 5–10 minutes. Do not use soap or oils before exfoliating. Let your skin dry for about 30 seconds, then begin exfoliating. If the skin is too wet, the exfoliation may not be effective. Apply firm pressure while exfoliating.

Our Exfoliating Gloves can be used for up to 6 months. For hygiene and best results, always use a separate glove for the face and replace it regularly.

For best results, exfoliate each area of your skin for 1-3 minutes. Avoid over-exfoliating to prevent irritation. Gentle, consistent use is more effective than scrubbing too long.
